So we can have Tony's suggestion to eliminate tipping with a $15 minimum wage for waitresses... which would make them less money than they make now already. Incur more costs to the company. In turn, cause them to eliminate jobs, cut hours, reduce quality, and/or raise prices. Or you can keep tipping with $15/hr for waitresses and they now makes around $30+/hr (more than a lot of jobs we put a lot of expectations and community safety on the line for) while the company either eliminates jobs, cuts hours, reduces quality, and/or raises prices. Yeah...

I mean, the obvious answer is that if you raise the minimum wage, you could raise the tipping wage jobs minimum wage also... but all the way up to $15 would be ludicrous for a lot of places. Not even taking into account the pandemic raging the entire restaurant industry.
