The initial leaked screenshots didnt make big news even in Korea (and didnt even make it to international kpop outlets) at first and then as soon as the agency addressed it suddenly a ton of kpop fans all over the world were aware of what happened and it essentially sparked creepers all over the world to go on a massive hunt to track down the video which of course they did and now its out there. Gotta feel bad for Nancy, not only for being recorded secretly which is terrible in and of itself but also because her own company caused even more damage, if they had just kept their mouths shut this whole situation would've just faded away after a week or so ...
