When I was a kid, I thought of the Andalites as way more advanced that humans, but it's actually shown that they're ONLY more advanced in technology. Humans have a far more advanced society. Adalites are racist, sexist, ableist, and extremely arrogant. They think of everyone as below themselves. When the animorphs are first able to contact the Andalite homeworld, they're condescending and take longer to mobilize than they had any excuse to. When they first heard about the Yeerk invasion of the Hork-Bajir homeworld, they only don't take the threat seriously simply because the ones reporting it are exiled. So they send a single warship and they're completely outclassed, with no chance to win. Even worse, their response to this is to commit a horrific war crime, using a bioweapon called a quantum virus to devastate the Hork-Bajir population just to limit how much the Yeerks could gain from conquering them. --- My sister's dog bit a hole in my Super Mario Land cartridge.
