Im a young korok but I can see why music from the past was better.

even the heavier stuff like Metallica had some music (eg actual singing) and instrumental work to it.

there are too many fad genres now that rely on gimmicks and there is no actual singing or instrument work. All the reggeaeton and the more commercial hip hop stuff and whatever the likes of the WAP song just dont have the same depth.

Music used to have soul; now a lot of it (certainly not all, I'll 100% admit that) is a soulless cashgrab. WAP? No soul, just money grabbing.

Dad rock and rock ballads are still the best music. Nothing beats the classics. Music nowadays is just bad and low effort. Back when it was mega popular people like MJ, meatloaf, queen, guns n roses, Elvis etc. they actually cared about music and producing something good
