I mean, yeah, it would be nice if it was checking scanlines for anything in the general spectrum of red colors, so in that regard, yes, it sucks. I was confused why I couldn't take a picture of a fire, for instance. But it really didn't take long to realize that it's only programmed to recognize ground-spawn objects. When you point at something, it literally puts a circle around the object that it's scanning, even when it represents only a small fraction of the total shot. And I'm sure it's much simpler for them to program in code that checks if clickable objects are in front of you (because there's already code for that) and the item comes off a finite list of specific things deemed red. --- Video Game Music Contest 14 champion: Idola Phantasy Star Saga - Endeavour ...
