Or check a different translation or the original Hebrew texts, God is referring to the ground, not a particular place. God is telling Cain that the actual ground beneath him is cursed. That Cain will not experience fruitful harvests, so rather than being able to plant/harvest -> move on, as was the nomadic lifestyle of the time.
