Anyway, to explain why I'm tied for ranking Iron Man 3 the highest, it was the movie that got me into the MCU. I saw Avengers in theaters, but that was my first time seeing an MCU movie, and I enjoyed the action but didn't know much about the characters. Iron Man 3 was what showed me that the MCU was not a typical brainless action franchise and was a character-first, action-second series, and that's been their key to success. Sure the villain and the twist sucked, but I had zero knowledge of Mandarin going in so it didn't bother me.
