She chose to make controversial statements on a public forum and her employer reacted to that. At what point was her free speech restricted? She can still say whatever she wants but her private employer is under no obligation to retain employees regardless of what statements they make. Well, she was repeatedly reprimanded, and abused for her speech. She was repeatedly told to self censor. And finally, she paid a heavy price for her speech. In what way was it free?
