| hockeybub89 02/15/21 6:00:37 PM #1: | The Internet was so much better when it was just a vast fountain of knowledge and millions of communities of likeminded individuals on any given topic. Social media and boomers, zoomers, whoever ruined this. Now everyone thinks they are entitled to everyone seeing their opinions on everything. They opened it up while ironically leading people to insulate themselves and form in-groups more than ever. The Internet works as a safe space. It's not supposed to be a microcosm of America. It's global, universal. Those little unique cultures make the rules and norms of their communities, not national governments. --- ... Copied to Clipboard! |
