I get bothered a lot more in FFH where the villains are literally just people angry at Tony Stark for like the 8th time in the MCU or whatever. Spider-Man has basically been used to clean up messes created elsewhere in the MCU. Which honestly goes completely against the "neighborhood" thing they were supposedly going for. Peter's own universe never really feels like it ever gets to be its own. I think theyre aiming for Peter desiring to be a friendly neighborhood Spider Man, but realizing too much has been put on his shoulders to allow that. Its a struggle between personal desire and what the world needs. I think the universe feeling like it isnt his own is the point.
