Topic	Oh shit I'm officially in the process of buying my first home

I won't be penniless after closing, but I'll need to build up my cash reserves again ASAP to be at a level I feel comfortable with in case of emergencies (6 months of expenses). And I've been thinking extra hard about furnishing and decorating! But I have to remind myself that I don't need to repaint and replace everything as soon as I move in.
