Bleh decision by Manchin but not even #1 on my power rankings of "ugh manchin decisions of the past 24-36 hours"

that spot goes to him meeting activists for a $15 minimum wage and telling them to their faces he opposes it and prefers $11

Gotta pray that it survives the Byrd rule and the parliamentarian because I'm pretty damn sure he won't sink the COVID bill over it but he seems to be making it pretty clear he won't accept it stand-alone.

This is essentially what I'm worried about too. I do not think he torpedoes the entire COVID bill over it as he is for most of the stuff in there and is even for an increase of the minimum wage. But it is also clear that if something happens and it becomes a standalone thing, it is doomed.

I will say it would be pretty shitty of Manchin if Bernie votes to confirm and Manchin does not

Otherwise I don't care much either way

Yeah if I'm being 100% honest I'm kinda annoyed but mostly apathetic on it? But again, I totally agree that if Sanders basically goes "eh she's fine" then Manchin bringing up how she was mean to progressives seems disingenuous when he's really just voting against her because she was mean to republicans.
