This is another bad thing about payment for order flow, and why I don't think I would mind if brokers went back to a $5 commission per trade or something like that. Sure, maybe the worse execution of PFOF ends up coming out to about the same as a commission would, but how much money are people losing by trading a lot instead of holding?
