The problem is that he is also a genuinely stupid guy, who thinks bipartisanship is not just possible, but necessary AND intrinsically good, despite being Vice President for the guy who proved all of that wrong. To address the (bad faith) argument that Bernies congress would be less progressive, and taking that to its logical conclusion, the implication that he would get less done, I would point to the powers of the office of the Presidency itself, which Joe seems unwilling to fully exercise, even to fix problems he explicitly said he would fix. --- Phantom Dust.
