Because the underlying theme of the show seems to involve the concept of grief and working through it, I tend to suspect the show ends with the Vision permanently dead and never coming back rather than having him come back as a lesser thing or completely restored, and Wanda finally having to come to term with that and saying "goodbye" to him... which then segues into Wanda's appearance in Doctor Strange. But I could be wrong.

I am reminded of this anime I watched once back in college, as I see comments like this regarding this show. What was it...? *Goes digging*

Magical Shopping Arcade: Abenobashi. Basically the main kids are dimension hopping, but really it's the boy trying to escape the reality and grief about his grandfather, and so hijinks ensue every episode with any number of new themes until the main protagonist is left to face reality at last.

I totally had to re-acquire my Anime List details, after so very long, to find that since none of my search engines were helping me. Now to forget about that site again...
