One thing I can say so far is that the story after the end of the anime season 1 is so different from the first arc of the series that I feel like it really doesn't matter if it was changed for the anime. If the content itself is just worse then that's one thing, but because of the way the story is set up and how heavy a factor mystery is I feel like you could follow the first arc up with basically anything and have it work about the same from a cohesion standpoint. And there's nothing so far about the story that has made me think "of course they were going in this direction all along", or anything, though I guess I am only 2 or 3 volumes after where season 1 ended? Story is solid so far. Can't really comment too well though since it's been mostly setup and I haven't gotten to any of the (presumed) payoff. --- I didn't do guru this year but azuarc can be in my sig anyways. ...
