The direction and pacing is terrible, and even if you completely ignore everything that was cut and try to take it on it's own merit as an individual product, it's just bad. Yes, the core story is a departure from the first season SIGNIFICANTLY to begin with, but that has nothing to do with everyone dunking on season 2. It is a horrific adaptation.
