I don't know if a 3 mana sorcery is really even playable in Legacy or Vintage, but there are decks that could be totally wiped out by the time you hit mana value of 20+. Like, even if you didn't get 100% of their cards you could get enough key pieces to render a win impossible for the opponent. Yeah, exile is absolutely bonkers.
