You would be completely wrong then. The term Millenial was created as a name for those who would be coming of age at the turn of the Millennium, aka those born in the 80s.

And in common usage, millenial does not accurately describe people born in the early to mid 80s. Late 80s millenials are closer to the common usage, but even so. People who are typically called Millenials largely come from the 90s.

As i said, world of difference between me and my sister and her husband generationally speaking, and we're 10 years apart.

And its not a scientific law where I cant give an opinion on how certain groups should be classified. I dont see most people born in the 80s as being similar enough to me or my peers for that matter to consider them as part of my generation.
