Well, you need to figure out what things actually matter to a person. Everybody is different. For me, for example, I value video games, censorship issues, and good business practices above all else. I could easily get along with someone who disagrees with me on, say, immigration but if someone was pro-censorship or pro-lootbox we'd have a lot harder time getting along. But even then it's not like I have to be best friends with everyone. If I want to sit down and raid WoW with someone I don't need to make sure they align with me 100%.
