I mean, talk to most anyone who's actively dated around, had more than one or two sexual partners in their life, etc., and a vast majority of people will probably be able to recount a handful of stories of mismatched interest levels, sex that didn't result into the relationships they were hoping for, etc.

Sure, the world would be a wonderful place if ever guy was a perfect gentleman and every woman was a perfect lady 100% of the time to every person they interacted with and engaged in any kind of intimate relations with. But... that's not really how the world is. The world is messy and people are flawed and imperfect.
