i think I already asked you this but did you have to pay to enter the park even though none of the rides were open?

yeah it was just food and shops(and only the California adventure park) and then they had some special stuff going on around the park like we did this WandaVision themed trivia and we are such nerds we were able to get all the questions right which was cool

$75 a person but it came with $25 food vouchers for each of us, and they were making a lot of the food that is usually only available in the main park like the monte cristo

Wtf are you doing at Disneyland?

why is it even open

Its sort of like a soft re-opening I think. The park is gonna fully open at the end of April but theyre enforcing all sorts of guidelines and precautions. I think theyre only selling like 25% of their normal capacity.

Masks have to be on at all times unless youre actively eating or drinking and even then youve got to be at a table and they have all been distanced apart. They do temperature checks going into the park as well to make sure nobody has a fever. They even have half the parking lots blocked so that vehicles are parked with distance between them.

There is some risk still, personally I think Im feeling slightly more secure about things because Ive been able to start the vaccination process so I imagine Ive got some covid antibodies now, but Im still taking all the precautions seriously and not being lax about them. As long as people are mindful I think it is ok to start slowly getting things back closer to normalcy as long as it is done cautiously and one step at a time.
