I've been on this for 9 months, we need to quit acting like x amount of time under perfect conditions will end it all. 2 weeks became months with no end in sight, so people said screw it so even if it was just taking longer, that dam has broke. Now we pick a path, either open up and let the chips fall where they may, or we start the moves for the long term economic and mental health needs of the people that have left them thinking the virus is the less serious threat. Not UBI, but an actual path to work from home jobs and socialization methods.
The virus doesn't have an end date. We need to adapt as a society. Trying to get back to normal is keeping us from getting back to normal.
