The last year for things as they were, and the first year for how they are now.










Once upon a time, your common generic YouTube channel was filled with stuff about Smash Bros. or Sonic. If you can dig up an old abandoned channel and look at its videos from about a decade or so ago, this is what you tend to see. Now, your common generic YouTube channel is filled with ironic shitposts. And I feel like this is probably because of how social media has evolved. With the evolution of social media came the evolution of content and culture on the Internet.

What I'm asking is, where's the separating line on the timeline of the Internet between these two eras? When did the topical thing to make videos and posts about change?
