A lot of the businesses in poor black neiborhoods that were seen as exploitative, like liquor stores, were often owned and operated by asian immigrants. And on the flip side stores in these neiborhoods are constantly having to deal with petty theft. Not exacly hard to see where built of resentment on both sides is stemming from.
