Although hes an Independent now, he was a Conservative until the Conservatives finally kicked him out after he insulted autistic kids. Hes our version of a Matt Gaetz or Ron Desantis, except even our conservatives wont attach themselves to that, at least not yet; after all,this is the party that elected as their leader the enabling brother of the misogynistic, racist, homophobic, alcoholic crackhead that was Rob Ford, the former mayor of Toronto.
