| - Urban City - simply because it's usually the one with most detail and depth
- Snowy mountain - great views, interesting design, often combined with paths that lead into caves etc
- Dense jungle - aesthetically pleasing, usually a lot of exploring, often filled with hidden areas
- Caves - interconnected level design, visually interesting, and more often than not atmospheric.
- Brimstone/Lava/Volcano - can look great, but can be annoying to navigate in with instant kill environments (lava)
- Beach - usually very pretty to look at, but quite often boring level design due to easy orientation.
- Space station - often ends up being try-hard and gimmicky, this is usually a late area that tends to not be as cool as the rest of the game to me.
- Factory - Almost always visually ugly, repetitive design which leads to being an annoying area you keep getting lost in.
These are of course generalizations. Sometimes Factories can be the best area in a game, and urban cities can be garbage. ... Copied to Clipboard! |
