I voted for 6-4 as a joke. Anyway, here go the real rankings:

2-4 > 1-4 > 3-4 > E1-4 > 5-4 > L-4 > 4-4 > 6-4

2-4 is rightfully praised as the saving grace of Justice for All. Pretty much perfect.

1-4 is the real reason people fall in love with this series. 1-3 sets the groundwork for "twists" while 1-4 lays the foundation for the series' emotional payoffs.

3-4 is also ridiculously good and is the perfect "lead-in to epic case" that 5-4 and 6-5 (first day) both emulate (to varying degrees of success). Maybe the most emotional moment in the series.

E1-4 is the prequel case right? With young Miles and Mack Rell, the worst and worst-named character in the series? If so it's a bright spot from E1.

5-4 is 3-4 except awkward. DD's storytelling and pacing is just plain weird sometimes. The characters are fine it's just the whole thing feels "off" somehow.

L-4 is where I start forgetting the game. I have no idea if this is the last case in the game or what. Regardless, it doesn't really matter, as L-3 is the high point of the game and it kind of sucks after that.

4-4 woof. This case just made me feel bad for existing or caring about the series. I can at least see how this game would've worked if Hobonix was a completely new character. A failed experiment. I like Vera though!

6-4 - unfortunate that this is really Athena's only case, as it's such obvious filler. It's actually kind of funny (Athena and Simon try their best to salvage this trainwreck), but it's just so culturally niche. It's better than the dregs of 2-3 and 4-3 but it's probably the third worst case.
