Bad judgment is thinking that all of this bullshit rationalizing makes someone any less of a brainless asshole for drinking and driving

Bad judgement is adhering to extremes rather than recognizing nuance. Labeling someone a "brainless asshole" for having a small amount of beer and driving afterwards is not productive.

Believing something is not the same as knowing. The facts do not care about your feelings.

True, and the facts in my scenario showed that I was safe to drive. I know because I actually got pulled over in this scenario for my tag lights being out, and when I told the officer I had two beers at the bar, they performed a sobriety test, which I passed, though it was scary as hell.
