What annoys me more are the games that force you to use characters you don't normally use because "we need to split into groups". The Cold Steel games do this and it annoys the hell out of me. philsov posted... depends on the amount of investment and compensation. Chrono Cross? Sure, I could not give ~~Kid medicine~~, but I get some other characters instead (like Glen!) so it's more of a branch point and that's pretty cool imo. I always hated ~~how mad Korcha gets if you say you don't know how to save Kid.
