You should use the terms transwomen (women who were not assigned female at birth) and ciswomen (women who were assigned female at birth). The issue is that we're not saying transwomen won't necessarily have an advantage over ciswomen. What we are saying is that: Transwomen are women, so they should be able to compete with other women. The advantage transwomen may have is overstated and not born out in signficant results. The Olympics already have rules in place regarding transwomen to try to make competitions fair to all women. Any sort of blanket ban on transwomen competing with ciswomen is misguided at best and transphobic at worst.
