Like, if you've been playing from the start, do you have to keep paying for the new expansions as they come?I'm not entirely sure what you mean, so let me clarify: Person A is playing currently in 5.5, and pre-orders the expansion to play 6.0. What they pay for is: monthly sub + price of the expansion. Person B just now starts the game. They complete Heavensward as part of the free trial and now have two options: 1)Purchase Shadowbringers, which gives them the Stormblood expansion for free, and be able to play immediately. 2)Purchase Endwalker, and receive Shadowbringers and Stormblood for free, but be unable to actually play them until the release date of Endwalker(I believe this is still the case - I'm not entirely sure if they changed how pre-ordering expansions works).
