We cant hire anyone that does the job you do" when I bail for greater opportunities elsewhere. Yet never does it occur to them to offer more money . . . Whats funny is, low-end people are very much not expendable up here. Places are shuttering because they flatly cannot staff entire shifts. At the same time, quit an IT or medical job and watch hundreds of degree'd fast food workers and gas station attendants dog-pile it in desperation so they can justify their crushing debt. Because the guy serving you fries likely IS a college graduate. Those jobs are the genuinely expendable ones it seems. It'll swing around surely. we just need our population to grow 1000% and have all the newcomers not even have GEDs. Any day now . . . ... Copied to Clipboard! |
