And how much good is it going to do a restaurant if those people are in other states? Exactly how far do you think their delivery radius is?

Hyper-focused, local social media is useful for things like restaurants. International attention from influencers with worldwide followers doesn't do much when you're not in a city with a lot of international travel. Something with 23k followers in your area is great advertising. 17m followers where none (or almost none) are nearby is not.
