He was ready to walk down that stage for the next chapter of his life until a school representative stopped him. He said the lady said his shoes violated the dress code and he couldn't attend the ceremony unless he changed them. This occurred at Hashnville High School in Louisiana where he was seen wearing his Alexander McQueen sneakers with white soles that retail for $580 but the dress code says all male students have to wear dark daress shoes and "no athletic shoes" allowed Peters said "I was in shock. I felt humiliated. I just wanted to walk across the stage and get my diploma" He had to quickly search around to see what he could do until teacher, John Butler stepped in and REMOVED his own loafers and gave it to him to wear which he did and they shared their story on Facebook that was met with praise But some users took aim at him stating he should have followed dress code stating he should have dressed "presentable" for graduation now that he's going to be a "man" in this new world. Nontheless, Butler stepped in as the paraeducator who mentors students said "Last minute before they close the doors to graduation. The young brother comes walking towards me in a panic.
