But do take some time to be sad and let yourself be affected by this. You're not weaker for doing so. In any case, it's a blessing that you didn't get married because that will make the separation SO MUCH less messy for you. I think she's making a ludicrously selfish and insane decision, mostly for the sake of her child. She's giving up a stable home for her kid with someone doing well enough to care for them both to go off and try to raise him on her own? Nuts. But her decision, not yours.
