The thing about Mexican food giving you diarrhea is rooted in tourists getting food poisoning in Mexico, usually from improperly treated water, and has nothing to do with racism. Either way, I always assumed the trope of Taco Bell giving you diarrhea was because it's cheap and shitty fast food served to you by seedy teenagers.
