Wet blanket characters are seldom the most liked because they are less fun. Skyler White on BB was very reasonable all things considered, but she often impeded the "Walter White funtimes cook meth party" and so everybody hated her. This was not sexism. I promise if you put a debbie downer husband in the movie alien who Ripley had to stop and talk to or come up with excuses to every 20 minutes, everybody would fucking hate that guy. It's not a sexism thing.
