It also seemed like Aerith is already dead when he entered the church looking for her. If Stamp is a terrier in the next part of the Remake, then Zack is in the same timeline as Cloud and everyone else. When Yuffie is walking around Sector 7 Slums, theres a segment where a teacher is telling a story to children about Stamp and hes still a hound.
