When you think of a knife, what role is it likely to play in your setup?

like to process food? Baton wood? (Split pieces of wood down the middle), maybe wedge cans and or pummel nuts?

if you want to do all that youre better off with a full tang as xethuminra said^

Buck is a good brand

if you plan on carrying it every day then a nice folder can still serve those roles but with a huge loss to hardiness and strength

Benchmade is also a great brand for folders, the Osbourne is probably my favorite

but actually my favorite knife of all time is actually the Swiss champ by Victorinox

that shit comes with an excellent saw to process some tree limbs, a good blade, handy tools, and is built to last

I absolutely use it for EVERYTHING since it is a multi tool
