Like Josef has a soul break animation where he overcomes the boulder that killed him and this Josef became much stronger than the one who was in your party for 15 minutes in the actual FF2 game. So like if Reks didn't actually get killed by Vayne and Gabranth at the start of the game he would have become a powerful soldier as shown in FFRK. ~~That said we still should have gotten Reddas instead of Reks.~~ --- https://imgur.com/6AevF0Y LOL!!!!
