You only had two: Maya Wiley, a MSNBC host with little actual political experience who wasn't that left(no more left than, say, Liz Warren), who lost by just a few points and Dianne Morales, a former non-profit exec who was the only candidate to pick up "defund the police" but torpedoed herself by creating a toxic work environment and trying to break her campaign's union. Adams, meanwhile, had the full backing of the NYPD and all kinds of centrist PACs and politicians. Unfortunately, a lot of liberals have a NIMBY attitude about police brutality, or only care about it when it's being done by Republicans.
