Wearing pants has never stopped me from being bitten by ticks or mosquitoes. Shorts allow a better range of movement that makes tripping and falling less likely although admittedly more painful if it does happen, but scrapes and bumps are not the end of the world. And hiking trails are generally clear of poison plants. As long as she is wearing sensible shoes she should be fine. --- I am awesome and so are you. Lenny gone but not forgotten. - 12/10/2015 ...
