TopicWhy do film makers change what video game films are about?

Because film makers in general are pretty lousy when it comes to source material. If they're not a fan, they want to insert their own vision. And if they are a fan, sometimes it's even worse.

The handling tends to be worse when it comes to "low-brow" source material, but it's an almost universal issue. And part of it comes from misplaced sets of incentives and the fact that people will often try to get jobs because they can't get other things they want, which results in people trying to "prove" themselves rather on adapting the source material.

Then you have the secondary issues of focus groups, etc, and hoping to appeal to a broader audience.

Except you were one of the people bitching in that topic, and you're bitching now thatbI don't do anything for my kids, when I've shown that I do. So why don't you stop saying stupidass shit for once?

Why the hell does anybody take that guy seriously? He'll say anything to get a rise out of people, and orchestrates entire campaigns of harassment in an attempt to bully people in the hopes that they'll be as miserable as he is.
