I don't believe in God, or the afterlife, I am against mainstream religion as a concept, oppose the tax exempt status they have and the ability for their insitutions to above the law. And the fact that religious have exasperated and had a negative effect on pretty much every society , war, political issue etc
The Americans who had slaves believed they were doing God's will The Nazsis believed throwing their fellow man into gas chambers by the millions what God told them to do. The men who flew into the Two Towers would not have done so unless they believed in God and an afterlife.
You see anti science attitudes and race/gay/trans discrimination rampant in religion to this day. Almost Trump's entire base is aggressively religious and they're the biggest fools America has to offer.
When you say "I reject logic, critical thought, human crafted morality and reason. Instead I believe in the absolute power and divine right of whatever these weirdos tell me was correct when I wasa kid. Also because it is God we have authority over everyone else." bad things happen
And most of the population of the world currently says that.
Sprinkling your thoughts on religion in unrelated matters is exactly what a religious person would do its not an actual topic of contention here, its just something you decided to segue into
