| foolm0r0n 07/18/21 6:57:34 PM #23: | AAA game sales are very different now, especially RPGs. You don't sell the 1st game, then the 2nd, etc, you sell the whole franchise at once. In 20 years they will still be selling FF7, and that's ok, because there's billions of people in the world who could be brought in to the series. Even in the future, they will start with FF7R1, then maybe finish that series, then maybe try to PS1 FF7, then if they are really hooked, branch into the other FFs. Skyrim, TLOU, etc have the same business model. The brand is commoditized, like Coca Cola. So as long as the R sequels successfully grab gamer mind share (and they will), it will be profitable to keep making them. --- _foolmo_ he says listen to my story this maybe are last chance ...
