| The Mana Sword 07/19/21 5:24:29 PM #3: | PW1 - I used to like this one a lot, but over time I've grown to enjoy it a lot less. I like the Moderato themes that are a bit softer and more ponderous, and this one is very harsh. That's probably more to do with the instrumentation than the melody. PW2 - This one is the weird step-child of the original trilogy, but I actually have a soft spot for it. It's basically the polar opposite of PW1's. PW3 - Strikes a perfect balance between PW1 and PW2, so it's pretty easily the best of the original trilogy for me. AJ - Somewhat sinister undertones in this one that I don't think I really dig all that much, but I don't hate it. AAI - Fine. AAI2 - Slightly less fine. Layton 1 - The instrimentation does far nicer things to this melody than the GBA chip does. Layton 2 - A fun variation on the above theme that I'm actually pretty into. DD - Probably the most interesting composition of any of them, dope bass, weird time signature. I like this one a lot. GAA - This is okay. SoJ - I almost really love this one, but that electric piano sample or whatever it is that kicks in at 18 seconds isn't great. PW3 > DD > Layton 2 > SoJ > PW2 > Layton 1 > GAA > AJ > PW1 > AAI > AAI2 --- ... Copied to Clipboard! |
