We probably have to wait about 10 years before we can play AAA games on a phone.

I meant the specs themselves. AAA games require a lot more RAM than is available on phones.

Unless computer technology plateaus, what is considered "AAA" will keep getting more advanced as the less compact consoles and PCs also improve with time along with phones (phones however, get upgrades more often, but with smaller improvements).

It's not easy to port the most modern AAA home console game to a weaker device unless it was planned to be done from the beginning, which usually means limiting the game to ensure it would work on weaker devices. And the range of phones is huge, not everyone is carrying around the newest, most expensive model.

Although I don't think hardware limitations is the main reason most AAA publishers don't port most of their games to smartphones anyway, I think they just don't have faith most people would be willing to pay AAA prices up front to play AAA games on their smartphones. The proven money making method for smartphone games is microtransactions and loot boxes/gatcha, and they work extraordinarily well.
