Smash has raised the bar so high that even thinking of competing against it is suicidal, and the first game has a (not entirely fair, imo) reputation as a terrible game, the kind of laughing stock youtubers use as a go-to for easy cheap laughs. I doubt many people would be willing to give it a second chance.
