Do you actually say that to people? Cause that would come off as "Play the role I want you to or there will be problems" to a lot of people. Like, if I do it on my own it's because I'm being thoughtful and empathetic. If you tell me to do it, now you trying to control the dynamic and make me the bitch >_>.

It's fine if you're just aware that that's the best results for it not to escalate. I just wouldn't vocalize it. I'm not even a prideful person. But no one wants to be told to shut the fuck up when they're not even doing anything inherently wrong.

Id say if you're gonna vocalize it, at least add a please. Id listen if there was a please in the request. Cause that feels less immasculating for me.
